Grade 6 - Mathematics
Florida M/J Grade 6 Mathematics - Semester 1 (Credit: 1.00)Mathematics is the study of the patterns around us. Using the tools in this course, you
will learn more about how to solve problems involving ratios, rates, fractions and
decimals. You will also explore number lines, the coordinate plane, and absolute value.
Florida M/J Grade 6 Mathematics - Semester 2 (Credit: 1.00)Mathematics is the study of the patterns around us. Using the tools in this course, you
will learn more about how to solve problems using expressions and equations. When
you understand how to work with numbers in equations and how to manipulate
equations, you can more easily solve problems you encounter in everyday life. Through
this course, you will explore area, volume, and surface area of polygons in
mathematical and real-world contexts. This course also explores concepts related to
probability and statistics.
Florida M/J Pre-Algebra - Semester 1 (Credit: 1.00)Mathematics is the study of patterns around us. In Florida M/J Pre-Algebra, Semester
A, you will explore transformations and solve linear equations. You will also solve realworld
problems with two linear equations. In this course, you will study and interpret
functions that can help you solve problems you encounter in everyday life
Florida M/J Pre-Algebra - Semester 2 (Credit: 1.00)Mathematics is the study of patterns around us. In Florida M/J Pre-Algebra, Semester
B, you will study the use of scientific notation and learn to use roots appropriately. You
will plot and compare irrational numbers and simplify expressions with irrational
numbers. You will also explore the Pythagorean Theorem and probability and statistics,
which you can use to solve real-world problems.
Math 6 (Credit: 1.00)This course will provide students with a deep understanding and mastery of the objectives that will prepare them for algebra. It is based on best practices in the teaching of mathematics and the disciplines of STEM learning. Students will develop 21st century skills as they master ratios and proportional relationships; the number system; and number visualization. The course is highly engaging.
